You might be skeptical about Pinterest. And you might be even more skeptical about Pinterest schedulers. Take Tailwind for instance. Does it really help a business grow the way they say they do?
While I have always been a fan of Pinterest and have many personal attachments to items and beauty found in the visual search engine, I never thought it could grow my business.
Well, it proved me wrong. And I’m hoping these numbers will prove you wrong, too.
I have to put in a disclaimer. You have to know that it takes a while to gain ground on Pinterest. Growth does not happen overnight.
I have been following my data on Pinterest and Tailwind for over three months. It has not exploded, but the growth has been almost constant.
That being said, here are some numbers for you numbers geeks (I am quickly becoming one with all of these data and analytics to view my business; isn’t it fabulous to see the results on a page?).
I started taking screenshots on May 14th, and most of them for a 30-day time period, bringing my data in from about April 14th until the present. Some of them I took just the other day.
I started at Google Analytics. I was curious about where my traffic came from. As you can see, the majority of my visitors come from social avenues. And since I know I pin way more than I post on my Facebook page, it definitely shows the growth from Pinterest.
Now let’s go on to my Pinterest follower growth from my Tailwind stats. The first time I ran the 30-day numbers.
Then take a look at my numbers in just 9 days following the previous 30-day numbers.
Impressions don’t really mean much; all they are good for is telling you how many people saw your pin. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean they were engaged by your pin. However, I still took some screenshots of impressions to show you the growth in reach of the pins from my website.
Then we get to the numbers that are really telling. Clicks. This is the most important analytic to look at on Pinterest because it tells you how many users are actually making it to your website. That’s the first step!
In addition, I am very happy to report that my website pins now have the highest impressions and clicks on my entire Pinterest business profile. Obviously what everyone wants to see, right?
I know I was very pleased with the results. And as you can see, I only have 18 pins on my Best of Catholic Mom Vibes board.
And I’m clearly still a newbie blogger, people!
Let me show you one last piece of evidence. I was curious about my site stats; thankfully, they showed me three different looks. Daily, weekly, and monthly. That put things into perspective for me.
Even though the daily stats are a little ragged looking and the weekly stats will always vary, the monthly is what I want to be steadily increasing. Which is happening!

Not convinced yet? As I mentioned before, it takes time to really see growth on Pinterest. Is Tailwind the right tool to help increase all of these numbers in the future?
I believe it is.
Why Tailwind, you ask? Well, they are partnered directly with Pinterest, making their dedication to analytics and best practices directly in line with what makes a business successful on Pinterest.
Plus, they send you weekly emails with your stats so you don’t even have to log in to look at them.
Additionally, they offer a crazy amount of analytics on boards and pins and followers that blow your mind. That allows you to schedule your pins at optimized times, without being on Pinterest all hours of the day.
They also offer Tailwind Tribes, similar to group boards on Pinterest, in which you can collaborate with like-minded pinners. They share your content and you share theirs. Simple as that.
