I have used Pandora for a long time now, utilizing its stations when studying, working, cleaning, and just chilling around the house. Though I haven’t used it religiously lately, there are still some great stations I turn to when trying to turn out a bunch of work in my work at home journey.
Just to be clear: I use Pandora for free, I do not pay for anything and simply work through the commercials (obnoxious at times). I often favorite certain songs because they are really great for the playlist, but every once in a while I have to go back and unfavorite it the next time since it might get played a little too much.
Best Pandora Stations for Motivation while Working
Of course, everyone is going to have a preference with what genre and type of artists you like to listen to. Are you going to go for a more hardcore sound or something more mellow? Will fast beats keep you energized, or will soft and steady beats keep you going instead?
I like to think I find myself in the middle, having some favorite stations for both long stretches of work (perhaps on a big project that needs to be finished asap) and for short bursts of tasks that need a lot of focus and energy.
So, here is my 5 favorite Pandora stations for motivation! Enjoy, I hope you find something you haven’t come across yet, and enjoy immensely.
Pandora Station 1: The Piano Guys
I love that this station provides some upbeat and intense instrumentals, but also some mellow and beautiful settings.
For the most part, all selections are without words (which increases your concentration and brain power in my opinion). Also, many of the Piano Guys’ songs are popular songs turned awesome with a piano and a cello.

Pandora Station 2: 60s, 70s and 80s
Call me nerdy or an old soul, or whatever, but I love the music of this era. Some of it was a little weird, and you can most definitely get rid of those songs with a quick dislike.
When I hear songs like “In the Mood” and “Hit the Road, Jack” and “My Girl”, it just makes my day. This is a station in which you can work with a spring in your step and bob in your head, no matter the day or weather.

Pandora Station 3: Film Scores Radio
Similar to the Piano Guys, but much more epic in scale, Film Scores is the ultimate study and motivation channel in my book. I love hearing the soundtracks from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Lord of the Rings, The Dark Knight, and so many more epic film scores.
What’s even cooler is that you kind of relive the movie in your head when you hear the soundtracks (if you are a diehard fan of that movie, anyway). Either way, this channel is one of my absolute favorites for anything, but especially working.

Pandora Station 4: Matt & Kim Radio
You hear this type of music in many department and mall stores, as well as bistros and cafes. But it is upbeat, eclectic, and funky music that works great to keep your brain moving and motivated.
The only caution with this station, you don’t always get the cleanest language. I simply try to pass by those songs and keep the ones that are cleaner for my own sanity.

Another similar station that is worth checking out: The Ting Tings. Same idea with the language and appropriateness on some songs.
Pandora Station 5: Mandisa
She is a fabulous Christian female artist with an incredible upbeat sound and message. Other featured artists on this station include Toby Mac, Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin, and many more dynamic Christian artists.
I love Mandisa’s song “Good Morning”, it has always been a good motivator for me in the morning (or any time, really).

Honorable Mentions from my list of Pandora Stations
Choral Music Radio – just because I’m a choir nerd! And a lot of the selections are calming and hair-raising at the same time.
PG Comedy Radio – maybe not the best for working but great for relaxing and laughing off the stress that might come from work situations.
Calming Rain with Piano – nature sounds with the gentle lulling of a piano. For some, it might be a station that puts them to sleep. I enjoy it to relax while working on something that I generally enjoy.

Hopefully, this list will give you a lot of variety and style to choose from. There are so many more amazing stations on Pandora that could work for your own work motivation. These are just the ones that work well for me!
